Lehman's RV Resort - Monday, October 19, 2015 Marengo, Illinois
Monday we got up here in Illinois in our temporary parking spot and started school. I guess you could say we slept in a little bit. After the wedding events – we needed it! Mid morning, we went into a small town called Woodstock to get a rental car for Dawson for this week. We dropped dad off at enterprise and started out to see what was around Woodstock. We found the Opera House and the historic downtown area. Very fun little town. We had a few items of business for mom to tend to and then she took us to the Woodstock Library to sign in to wifi and write to our classes and do some reading. We fought over who would go first using mom’s pc and since we were in a library and suppose to be quiet it got interesting watching mom try to get us to be quiet and stop arguing over the pc. Mena got to go first then Franki and then Q. I think we are pushing mom’s buttons today.
While we each took our turns the others were suppose to be reading or researching the topic that mom assigned too us. We all got books and sat quietly and read. We packed it up after 2 hours and headed out to get lunch and pick up a gallon of milk to then head back to our campsite. We also went through Huntley on the way back to the RV. It is really pretty here in Northern Illinois in what is called McHenry County – made up of towns nestled around farm land and corn fields. It is pretty here and since it is fall there are a lot of pumpkin patches and apple orchids around us.
Once home we chilled out on the RV – finishing some school work and then playing outside on the playground and running with Summer. It was a good day for the most part.
We met Bonnie and Bob the camp ground host here at Lehman's. They are from Arizona and working here until January. Their daughter lives in area and they enjoy being up here by her and her family. They want us to come see them in Arizona - when we are there.
There are several campers here in Lehman's but not too many folks outside - so we haven't really met anyone else except a golden puppy named Austin Lee - he is 4 months old and which an older couple parked here. We didn't get his name but say hi as we walk the dogs.
Here's to a great sunset!
