While the night was cold – the heaters kept us toasty. We awoke to SUN – yeah SUN. It was cool and crisp but it was sunny. We got up, ate and started school while the sun begun to warm up the outside. By 10 am – it was pretty nice – 55 degrees or so….so we went exploring in the state park and found trails and a dog park all around the lake. It was beautiful and while there was a light breeze if you stayed in the sun it was fantastic. We had a great morning of school and nature exploration.
At 2 pm we headed out to by a wedding gift, get gas, wash the van and drive out to Prairie Du Sac – it is about 30-40 minutes from Madison. Bryce Belinder is a good friend from KC. Bryce lives here in Wisconsin with his lovely wife, Jenny and their 7 children. Yep – seven kids. We got to their house and enjoyed a marvelous evening of fun and good food. Jenny cooked a fabulous dinner of stuffed pasta. It was fabulous. It was so fun to see Bryce – get to know Jenny, engage with all the kids especially the little ones – baby Thomas was awesome. Oh and we even got to meet Jenny’s dad, Larry and his dog, Baxter. What a treat – it was a fabulous evening and it was topped off by us all watching the ROYALs take Houston in the final game in KC. We won!!! IT was an awesome celebration!!!
Thanks Bryce and Jenny! We loved your family, you have a beautiful home and live in a great place. It was awesome to see you!
As we begin to meet people old and new on this trip - it is about "connecting" or networking if you will. Check out a blog that my friend, Alana Muller, posted about us on her networking blog, "coffee, lunch, coffee". She rocks -Alana thanks for writing about us yesterday.
