Saturday, Dec 12, 2015 “Home is where you park it”
Jacksonville
Walked around the lake – D, Summer and I – met Jeremiah, Deary and Mia at the camp – super nice family Dawson has his card.
Packed up lunches and drinks in the cooler to hit the beach. We will leave Summer here at the RV – she needs to rest.
First stop, Camping World – hit a sale and got all kinds of random things for the RV….need to get Dawson out of here!
Vent covers for our roof so we can keep the vents open while driving and when raining – help keep us cool here in Florida.
Poop bags for Summer – some camps have em some don’t and the stash I brought from home is almost gone.
Outdoor small grill with the small propane tanks and an adaptor to fill them up - so we can cook outside more especially as we are now in warmer weather and mom keeps setting off the fire alarm. Funny when I cook it goes off.
We had a lot of fun looking at stuff for campers/ RV’s so many fun ideas.
We left there and headed out to the beach but stopped for flip flops for Q and Mena – Q outgrew his and Mena left her’s at home….funny most stores are not stocking them right now as it is “winter” and they have out boots…..so funny it is 72 degrees out and no one has flipflops.
Next stop – the Beach! It was a nice afternoon with the kids in the ocean and Dawson and I hanging out with our toes in the sand. It felt amazing.
After a few hours we headed back to rescue Summer and let her outside. We enjoyed the evening hanging out in the RV park – meeting a neighbor and cooking dinner. I made homemade pizza for kids and burnt the bottom. UGHHHHH. Dawson’s turned out ok but cooking with this RV oven is tricky. It cooks very unevenly…..I will have to get more use to it or do something different.
Fun family day. Tomorrow we leave for Tampa/ St Pete heading to Fort DeSoto….and tomorrow I turn 46….is that really possible?
Good night to all!
