I knew last night when I went to bed that we would probably not do anything crazy today.  We went all weekend long and stayed up late and did lots of activities around DC, so I let them sleep in and get up on their own.  Franki was the last to rise and shine.  We ate, Q and Mena walked Summer with me and then started school.  I got Franki going after awhile.  Her and I had a rough day – as she is once again in a bad mood and very grumpy about all that she needs to do.   Everything I give her or tell her for school – is a negative comment and frustration.  Her and I are going to go round and round today.  UGH!!!!

I think her hormones are already kicking in on top of the adjustment to our life on the road and new feelings and emotions that has brought to our lives.  Oh the joy!!!

Dawson had enterprise pick him up around noon.  They really will “pick you up”.  We made lunch and played with the Karleen’s when we were done with school.   There were a few things I wanted to do with each kiddo one on one so I staggered them after lunch on some online work set up with each of them.  I rotated and that seemed to help and work out.  They also were eager to get through it to go back outside and play for the day.  I actually got in some yoga and time to myself (cleaning up around the coach) and not listening to fighting while they were out playing and at the Karleen’s camper.

Dawson got home at a decent time and finished his workday online and with one late call that was coming in later.
We had decided to take the Karleen’s up on their offer to go watch Kaia and Charlie do Jutjitzu at their school.  So we took out in some crazy (heavier than normal – per Dan and Tara) rush hour traffic to go about 30 minutes to their gym.  It was fun to watch.   The kids were invited to join in on the workout but not a one of them were brave enough to go out there.  Oh well, we enjoyed watching especially this little 4 year old boy who was learning....he was so cute!  Kaia can hold her own and Charlie is really good at it.  We even got to watch Dan take on the instructor - that was crazy fun stuff!

Dawson met us there after his work call and him and Quinten headed out after the 1st hour to get D a haircut.  Dan had told him about a barber shop close by and so he went for a haircut.  We all met at Cici’s when it was over and enjoyed the all you could eat pizza / salad buffet.  The cinnamon pizza is so dangerous!  I don’t usually have a sweet tooth and can say no, but I could not say no to that warm gooey pizza dessert.  Yummy!!  Dawson’s haircut turned out ok…..and we laughed at dinner about how the same person, good ole Fred, has cut his hair since 1997……and now on the road you laugh and realize how we get so comfortable and set in our ways.  He loves Fred and did ok – the place Dan had recommended was closed so he went to a local salon much like a great clips or something.  He said the girl was a talker and he did have his hat on after the cut…..not ready to notice how she did.

Everyone had several rounds of pizza, salad and desert.   The kids also enjoyed time in the game area before we  headed home around 9. It was a much faster drive with no traffic.   Q’s night in the shower – we rotate showers every other night.   And it can be a challenge to remember who needs to shower up on which night.    We had a fun day and wrapped it up and got everyone down at a decent time.  Good day of school, playing with friends and recharging our batteries for more time in Washington DC.  ISIS alerts in DC putting me on the watch a little more but still wanting to take in the attractions all around us.  We will do something tomorrow…..maybe the other Air & Space Museum as we could meet up with Dawson after his appointments.

It has been nice to not pack up and move this week!
Here’s to more DC adventures ahead!
