We were about 3 rows back from the beach until December 23rd and then we moved to the back of the RV park - K18. It made for a longer commute to the beach but it was still really close and there was just something super fun about walking out to the beach pretty much - first thing in the am - bike rides, runs and walks, swimming and playing during the day, sunsets and then walking Summer again in the evenings and bonfires and moon light walks.
We had several nights of bonfires on the beach and last nights was really fun. It was great weather all week, in fact, it was in the mid 80's and pretty hot all week. I will capture each day as I have better wifi now here in Sarasota.
But will say we had a very Merry Christmas on the beach and enjoyed the weather, family and friends. It was a good location and a fun environment. We will always remember our Christmas on the beach of Ft Myers Red Coconut Style!
It was great to meet and hang out with the Heary Family from Pennsylvania - Jeff, Molly, Meghan, Collin and Maura and the Todd Family from North Carolina - Tina, Phil and their girls, Taylor and Morgan and the Steinmetz - Kevin and his wife and their fun family.
And of course we had a fabulous time with Tara, Dan, Charlie and Kaia- such a fun family and the kids had a great time hanging out. We are so glad you all are here and enjoying beach life with us!
Now we are at Fun N Sun in Sarasota. We are about 6 miles from my high school and very dear friend, Cheri and her family. They are in NY for the holiday but we will go over there and take care of her cats later today and just enjoy some family time in the house. Cheri - have fun in NY City, but hurry home safe - can not wait to hang out a little more while we are here.
We got photos today of the house and all the snow in the neighborhood....thanks Steve for the photos. Now can you shovel my driveway too? Lol....we don't miss that as we sit here at Fun N Sun trying to cool off from getting all set up here at home for a few weeks.
Lots of fun memories - Junkanoo - catching lobsters, stuffed toys, and 1/2 prize pizza, Church Christmas Eve, fishing, mound house tour, bird watching, collecting sea shells, playing corn hole, building sand castles, enjoying the waves and the beach breeze, seeing the full moon on Christmas night....and Santa and Maverick finding us on the road for Christmas day!
So proud of Dawson maneuvering our bus in the Red Coconut Park - that was crazy! He did a great job and got us here to Sarasota safely So thankful for our safety and protection.
We had a great holiday! Hope you and your family did too.
Holiday cheers!
